It was over 2 years ago that I was reading a book called 'First Things First' by Steven Covey when I came across a line that went like this '…..we are not a product of our past, but rather a product of our choices.' It was then that I realised that I was responsible for my life. I was responsible for my destiny.

And what a journey it has been…..sometimes lonely and sometimes scary, but how my life has changed. How I have changed. I am more spiritual, more patient, more proactive, more humble, more positive, more enlightened and happier. But the most important is how my faith, belief and trust that I am being guided by the the higher energy I call God. This faith has helped me worry less and become more.
 
I have learnt that we never become but continue to become…..does that make sense?  Robin Sharma says 'Persistance is the mother of change.' I now deeply understand that life is a journey and we must enjoy the ride. We must be the acorn that becomes the Oak Tree. We must choose to live a life true to ourselves and not one that others would like us to live. But probably most important of all is we must face our fears and never be scared of failure, for failure is growth.

I have stopped focusing on what I dont have and now appreciate what I do have no matter how small. Success for me is not measured by material wealth (although I will always aim for the good things in life), but by spiritual wealth - living my life more with my heart and soul than with my mind. I have released my ego of it's duties. I will not allow my ego to control my life anymore. Whatever we think we become….so I CHOOSE to think positive.
